Where programming often gets confused is using non-opposing movements to offset one another.
For example, using overhead pulling like the chin up to offset horizontal pressing like the bench press.
This is incorrect, and will not properly balance the upper body.
In the same way that the bench press should be coupled together in your programs with the bench pull/row, or bent over row, so to should the push up, be paired with body-weight pulling or rowing.
